FanimeCon Results

FanimeCon is over, and I did fairly well! Sold a bunch of commissions and a few magazines. Sadly, no keychains were sold...however, the rest of FanimeCon went pretty well. We're beginning work on Issue 2 of DAZE+, and we're hoping to get it printed out by September so that it can be sold at the San Francisco Zine Fest, which is the same weekend as Sac-Anime...but as of now, we're not sure which con we will be attending...

FanimeCon: Days 1 and 2

Good evening, all!

Days one and two of FanimeCon 2010 have passed, and so far we're off to a slow start. No magazines were sold on the slowest day, Friday, and eight copies were sold to attendees on Saturday.

Two more days to go! For all those who are attending FanimeCon 2010, remember this! Come visit Table 246, which houses the DAZE+ magazines! All DAZE+ magazine sales include a free sketch and a keychain!

Hey, for those who were waiting for it, it's finally come! The magazines have come in the mail, and the business cards have been printed! So come to Fanime to be the first to check it out!

Conventions, Publishing...

OK! For 2010, there are (at the moment) three conventions that we are getting ready for: FanimeCon 2010, in San Jose, Kin-Yoobi Con, over at Chabot College in Hayward, then HyperBooster's new con, Hypercon, in San Francisco. For the magazine, they should be arriving from our publisher at least a week before Fanime, so hopefully we receive the magazines by then. For both Kin-Yoobi Con and Hypercon, we will be selling what we have left of the magazines, plus commissions from both Pineapple Pocky and Driftjunky13.

JUST ORDERED THE ZINES

Wow, it was frustrating calculating the magazine costs and shipping and handling. Apparently it takes 5 days for UPS to get from one side of the country. I hope it's worth it!

Today, we had our sequencing meeting, and during this meeting we submitted the files to our printer! Issue one of DAZE+ will be debuting on May 28th, the first day of FanimeCon 2010!

First post for the new DAZE+ Studios blog!

This is where we of DAZE+ will be giving updates on our bi-monthly magazine, the DAZE+ Magazine. It contains original comics from comic artists in the Bay Area, such as Pineapple Pocky and Driftjunky13. The magazine will also feature anime and manga reviews, as well as music, game, and local venue reviews.
